Growing up in Haiti the 80s was a death zone in history. None of our houses had bathrooms, rape was prevalent, and death was arbitrary. Food was scarce and rarely enough to satisfy. Here is my story of escaping death and extreme violence and forced me to coming to relearn what family and love is in the farthest places.
