Pretty Boy is a Magical Realism Literary Novel, in some ways a children's story for adults, about the life journey and misadventures of 17-year-old canine protagonist (Pretty Boy) Floyd, a runaway mixed breed Corgi/ Beagle (a Borgi) and adoptee of Henry and Cynthia, a recently married couple with a penchant for dogs who turn up either out of the blue or because God has sent them their way.

Unnamed at the story's beginning, Floyd has left his mother and siblings behind and escaped the fence that housed him to go on a search for his true reason of being in life, to find his "real" parents and begin his role in life as companion, watchdog, and Prince of the Manor in some place he is certain God will provide for him on his journey.
