When Ronald Reagan took office, he was facing an economic downturn similar to the one our country is currently experiencing. Key members of Reagan's staff prepared an Initial Actions Project, which takes every branch of government, including Congress, into consideration, and offers a clear and concise blueprint of how Reagan's economic policies were achieved. As a model for President Obama, who is dealing with the daunting demands of a nation in turmoil, the significance of this report has never been more timely. History proves that President Reagan's policies led to economic growth; will President Obama overturn this invaluable legacy? Only time--and history--will tell. Featuring a special Introduction by Arthur B. Laffer, who also worked in the Reagan White House, President Ronald Reagan's Initial Actions Project puts the IAP action plan in perspective and provides valuable insight into the most important economic issues of our time.
Not much to say about this book, since it is incredibly SHORT. But the intro, by Economist Arthur B. Laffer (Creator of the LAFFER CURVE)is a great intro. His assessment and brief recap of macroeconomic history truly is amazing. Mr. Laffer, who has a PH.D, defiantly debunks the fact that the Clinton era was NOT an era of Keynesian Success. Over all, the book just shows a report given to Reagan in his early months in office. It is what I would call a "battle plan" that helped Reagan gain momentum to pass what needed to be passed, like the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981. Over all, it is actually more of a guide on how to be a good politician rather than a president. But it is very interesting to say the least. PS: You may read my blog at [...]

I am a Reagan fan, so I am prejudiced, but it was a well written book that showed why Reagan was a great president. I recommend it to all open minded Americans.
Exactly the opposite of what Obama is doing now

To the point book. The book is a quick read and describes what Reagan had to do to be successful after taking over from a disasterous previous Carter Administration. This book is very important now, and clearly the Obama Administration has not opened it and read this book. If they read it and learned from it, the country would not be in this mess it is in today.
A Rare Insider Information to Reagan's Administration

My first impression to this report is, "why wasn't this released earlier?" This little report, drafted by Pres. Reagan's staff members, gives us the insider view of Pres. Reagan's plan for his administration in its early and critical days. Many have compared Pres. Obama with Pres. Reagan, but after reading this report you'll see that Pres. Obama's policy is the antithesis of Pres. Reagan's policy. There are many valuable insights one can glean from this document, which are applicable to our present day situation. The introduction by Arthur Laffer is very well written and it positions the readers with the proper perspective to this document. This is a very insightful piece of document to anyone: supporters or critics of Pres. Reagan. One may be critical of Pres. Reagan, but one cannot, with intellectual honesty, deny that his policy did work splendidly for this nation. In my book, Pres. Reagan is the greatest president in modern history of the U.S.
