Sterling J. writes, "Prescription for Revival" was indeed an eye-opener for me. Dr. Jenkins points out the fact that the saints need to be renewed in their spirit because revival won't come until the saints themselves seek renewal. Therefore, I would encourage anyone who is seeking a deeper experience with God to read this book with an open mind, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to your inner man and you, too, will come away with a different point of view." Rev. Edwin Wile writes, "Prescription for revival" is a document that points out some significant factors that believers in Christ must be aware of in our day. I quite agree that the church needs a renewed mandate (a fresh visit) from the Holy Spirit, and when this takes place revival will come. I'm reminded of the person who was ill and went to see the Doctor for a check-up. The Doctor diagnosed him and gave him a prescription, which was a pill, to take in the morning (time in the Word - gospel), another after eating dinner (prayer - after reading the Word), and make sure to take one before you go to sleep (prayer of thanksgiving at the end of the day). Finally, have fellowship with the body as much as possible throughout each day, with an appointment to come back again at the end of two weeks. I am convinced that if one so diagnosed faithfully takes the prescribed medication he will recover from his malady. But why should we wonder why things don't get better if we refuse to take the medication prescribed? Dr. Terrance Jenkins has prescribed the cure for the problem in this manuscript, I think very adequately, and it is "time" for this to take place. It's time to follow these instructions, which I believe will bring the church back to the reality of calvary and that is what the gospel is all about. Believers must take a renewed look at the mission that Christ commissioned in Mark 16:15.
