Insurance is a commodity that we all at least consider often. Without HEALTH insurance families are at great risk of spending a small fortune upon baby delivery, child illnesses, and emergency room visits for broken bones and the like. Health Insurance also covers COVID, Flue, Pneumonia, and all sorts of childhood diseases. Life Insurance is another method to insure the loved ones left behind are in a position that the home will not be lost, funerals can be paid for and provide for the necessities for the family. While home / renter's insurance can be a method to replace items stolen, damaged, or lost. But what about an insurance policy to care for your family in case of an emergency; such as power failure, winter storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods and the like? Do you have an emergency cache of food, medicine, alternative power, and water to cover your family? Why not? It does not have to be ultra expensive, nor super duper technical. You just need to think about the possibilities and prepare for that eventuality. Being prepared does not have to turn you into some sort of rabid conspiracy spouting, wild eyed lunatic. Being a PREPPER in not a bad word, nor a sign of mental disfunction. You have a spare tire, locks on the doors, a flashlight or two, spare printer cartridges, more than one roll of toilet paper in the house? If so you are a PREPPER already, to a small degree. I want to assist those folks that are looking a bit further in the future to PREPARE for some possible infrastructure failures.
