A series of poems recollecting the life of a young girl from the infamous township of Soweto. Although mostly raised by her thoughts and being reflective from a tender age, she discovers some ugly truths about life, mostly expressed through art (poetry and dance). She has her fair share of post-Apartheid trauma, and being raised in a black setting, she searches thoroughly for her own meaning of life. Albeit, in this pursuit of purpose, most wars end up being internal. Mostly occupied by a deep desire for a fatherly figure, protection from the men in society, and ultimately, an unbreakable connection with God. A nature poetry fanatic, most of her poetry is riddled with the tenderness, love, and care possessed by Mother Nature. Besides the flamboyance of nature seen in the beauty of flowers and mountainous valleys, she saw God's hand in her mother's figure.
