The only book you need to ace the exam

I have read this book in and out. Practice exercises and the exams, which are included on the CD, are very close to the actual exam. I just took my exam today and scored 984 out of a 1000. I am purchasing the next series of Prentice Hall MOUS Test Preparation Books for my expert certifications in Word and Excel.

Great MOUS Test Prep Book

I am MOUS (recently renamed MOS) Master Certified and obtained my certification by using only these books to prep. The CD that comes with the book is probably the best part. It features a hands on replication of the test. At the very least it prepares you for the types of questions and the testing environment, which helps greatly in getting over the fear factor. I have also taken the testing software the comes from Certiport, the developer of the MOUS certification tests, and found that this was better. As for the book, if your looking for indepth details, this is not the book for you. If you want a quick, to the point approach...I highly recommend it. After my certification I began teaching cMOUS certification courses and recommended these books and the PinPoint software as a great resource to my students. That is the depth of my reguard for this entire series of books.

Straighfoward Prep Guide for MOUS PowerPoint Exam

I have been using and training in MS Office applications for the past 7 years. This manual is straightforward and layout logically. Begining with the basic MOUS skills and progressing to the expert MOUS skills appears seamless. The book is full of pictures, step-by-step instructions per task, and helpful Pro Tips. This book is not full of "techie" jargon and wordiness.The practice exercises are practical and helpful tools to either learn or refresh the topics covered in each chapter. The end-of-chapter tests also reassess what you just learned in each chapter.The MOUS PinPoint program strongly reinforces the skills you learned after each lesson. The two different software elements in PinPoint - Trainer and Evaluation surely reinforce the skills that you NEED in order to PASS the MOUS Certification exam - Core or Expert.This manual is better layout than the Que E & T MOUS series which use the same PinPoint training and testing software which had problems. However, these appear to be fixed in the newer release of the software.I would highly recommend this manual and the accompanying PinPoint software to anyone who needs a training aide or manual to practice with for the MOUS certification exam. The only drawback is that is doesn't have anough exercises at the end of each chapter to be used as a training manual. If an additional exercise or two were available - this book would have been rated as a 5-star book.
