The preterm birth is a potentially traumatic event in the life of the mother and baby and in this context, the confrontation between the imaginary baby of pregnancy and the real baby can be enhanced. The aim of this study was to investigate the feelings of the mother about the imaginary baby and the real baby (in postpartum, pre-discharge and at 3 months after hospital discharge) in the context of preterm birth.
