PREDECEASED
Mara Voss writes obituaries for people who are still alive.
It's an unusual profession, but one she understands. People deserve the chance to correct the record before someone else decides how their story ends.
Then an obituary appears on Mara's computer for a man she has never met.
Three days later, he dies exactly as the document predicted.
When a second obituary appears-this time for one of Mara's own clients-Mara begins to question the one thing she has spent years learning not to fear: herself. She lives with a rare sleep disorder that can cause complex behavior she does not remember. But when files begin changing while she is awake, Mara realizes something far more dangerous is happening.
Someone else is writing the endings.
And they know exactly how to make Mara believe the words are hers.
As the deaths escalate, Mara uncovers a connection between the victims, her medical history, and the unresolved circumstances surrounding her mother's death sixteen years earlier. The deeper she digs, the more she realizes that someone has been shaping the story around her for years-and Mara may be the final name on the page.
PREDECEASED is a psychological thriller about memory, manipulation, family secrets, and the terrifying power of controlling the record.
