Praying with Power is amazing!

This is an amazing little book. It is a perfect balance of commentary and prayer-suggestions and clearly written by someone who understands the struggles and challenges each of us faces in our daily lives. Each part of the book addresses an area of life that is important to anyone on a path of deeper spirituality and overall health. Dr. Stevens has given humanity a tremendous gift with this book and it quickly became the only book on spirituality that I will ever need.

Don't Leave Home Without It

Knowing the author and having already benefited from the work of his Power Path Seminars organization, I bought two copies of "Praying with Power" for my family as soon as it was available. And we were not disappointed. Jose generously shares the benefit of his sensitive insights and the deeply relevant lessons of his many years of research and study. Some say that seeking truth leads to one's "edge of understanding" or frontier. If that's where you want to go then bring this healing book with you. But if prayer is something you reserve for Sunday, then perhaps you should seek wisdom from other sources. As the author states: "...prayer is something that can be lived. Acted out. And spoken as well. In all truth, prayer is a way of being, a perspective, a profoundly personal and sacred orientation to the world". As is Jose Luis Stevens' service to fellow travelers.

A wonderful addition to my life - peace!

I bought the book because I know Jose Stevens' work and didn't think much about the title. As I started to read the book, I was pleasantly surprised in the way Jose weaves together bits from his life story, lessons from his teachers and different techniques to pray (or connect with the Great Spirit). There are prayers for almost every situation you can imagine - happiness, health, wealth, well-being, sleep, sorrow, pain, men, women, and many more. The most powerful aspect of the book has been the sense of peace it has brought me personally. I noticed almost right away that when I went to sleep, I was sleeping more deeply and peacefully if I had been reading the book just before going to bed. A few times since then, I've had trouble going to sleep initially and tried the prayer techniques in the book and magically, sleep came within minutes. This is a book that can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of faith or religion and I highly recommend it.

Power Prayer

This is the spiritual person's guide to the quick results. Shorthand, fake it till you make it, do it yourself way of communicating with a money back quarantee, for speaking to your Maker. My advise? Try it for 30 days and if you don't make improvements then you can ask for all your old habits, and faults back! As I read the prayers, the choir sang to me, as if I was coming home. No dogma, no preaching, just knowing.
