Prayers from the Time of Jesus

Bys: Sweeney, R. a. and Aivazian, Meggie

During the time period surrounding Jesus's life, followers of the Lord had a number of prayers for different times of the day and different circumstances. These were beautiful, rich prayers in the Hebrew language filled with imagery from the Psalms and references to beloved scriptural narratives. These were an integral part of the culture of the early Church and their relationship with God. In this book, several of these prayers are presented, translated into modern English, and set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

In this book, you will be invited into the culture of the early Church, into a deeper intimacy with God, and to experience a glimpse of the beauty these prayers carry.
