Prayers For Jonah

On December 31, 2013, I was fighting for my life in the surgical ICU while my son was fighting for his life in the cardiac ICU. Thank God that religion had become an integral part of our daily lives. Without it, I don't think any of us would have survived the past year. While I was pregnant, I started a blog to inform our family and friends of our challenges that we were facing with our unborn son. The blog took on a life of its own as people started coming out of the woodwork to get updates and pray for us. I decided while I was lying in my hospital bed that our story was too extraordinary to stay as a blog. It had to be written in more detail and shared with all those who find themselves in a helpless, hopeless situation. I wanted to share our newfound faith and hope with as many people as possible with the intent to shed light on God's undying love for us. Prayers for Jonah begins in my childhood and ends with a thriving family of five. Along the way, we repeatedly battled with life and death, all the while trusting in the plan that God had laid out for us.
