Prayer: Raising Esthers and Daniels in this Generation

By Soli Deo Gloria

As in the Acts of Apostles in the Scriptures, the Lord is on the move in a way it seems our generation has not experienced before. There is a stirring in the hearts of many that a spiritual awakening is on the horizon And these days I believe the Lord has a message for His people which He is earnestly urging us to heed. In these moments we can either sit on the sidelines watching or purpose in our hearts to say 'Here am I, Lord' and yield to the Spirit of the Lord to see the fulfillment of the promise of perhaps the greatest move of God. I believe the Spirit of the Lord is emphatically pleading with the Body of Christ saying 'heed my call'. The message contains, I believe, tools the Lord is about to use to shift the knob on the door of history for an awakening to God in every nation. It gives us as the people of God the clarion call for repentance, a return to personal devotion to God and His charge to align ourselves in prayer and fasting. Just as Esther and Daniel stood in the gap and God used them to shift history in favor of God's people. Even so, I believe the Lord is giving again a charge to His people, calling for a generation to arise in the likes of Esther and Daniel and shake history to the glory of God. Will you heed the Lord's call?
