A primer for the exploration of the new spiritual frontier

Although it states on the front cover "rediscover the power of prayer", this book is not aimed specifically at people who already have experience of prayer. It is a guide for anyone who is interested in spiritual enlightenment in its many forms. A lot of books have been written in the past which were little more then expositions on the philosophy of prayer, especially by various Christian theologians. None of these actually explained the scientific basis of prayer. This book brings a new and fresh approach, recognizing that prayer is a form of energy which produces certain results. It draws on many different sources - Buddhist, Biblical, Sufi and others - to explain how they have used forms of prayer throughout the ages in order to connect with Divinity. The best aspect of this book is its practicality. There are prayers in it from several eastern mystics as well as from European sources. As well as gaining some peace of mind for oneself, prayer should be used as well for healing others and helping them gain enlightenment. This is the true underlying message of this book which I heartily recommend for the upliftment of all.
