Praxis PLT review

Just like it says - it is a comprehensive review to prepare one to take the Praxis PLT exam. I would highly recommend that you do the timed practice exams. And pace yourself like the book says. I just took it and completed 3 of the cases studies, all the multiply choice but none of the 4th case study - I feel the book prepared me for the exam but I failed to pay attention to time therefore not even getting to the last case study. But what I did answer, I was well prepared for.

Finally, it made the whole test make sense. Use this it works. I am not a writer. This is a 2 hr essay test. I say no more.

MUST HAVE for praxis takers

This book was the MOST helpful in my studies. It is a LITTLE outdated, however it provides an EXCELLENT source of information in one place. I love how it gives you a 7 week study guide that is TOTALLY manageable. It provides all the content based information you need except for things that more current like multi-ligual education and such. This book, plus the study guide on the praxis website and Praxis II:Principles of learning and teachoing by cliffstestprep are all I needed! I didnt have to go back to ANY of my class notes...and what FEW things i needed more info on I just googled it! DEFINITELY buy this book!

Helpful

I think that this book really helped me study for the PLT Exam. The first half of the book reviews the basic information you need to pass the test which was a lot easier than rereading all my text books. I found the sample answers to the essay portion of practice test to be very helpful in knowing what kind of essays to write. Plus ETS has taken enough of my money through out my educational career and I don't want to give them any more than I have to.
