This book follows its author through his childhood and early adult life as he grew up in Silicon Valley before the moniker existed. He describes his first experiences with a PC, bullies, fond memories with his family, the dot bombs during the tech crash, and the challenges of living in a pleasant suburban neighborhood house occupied by a poltergeist. Often told his writing skills were 'good' by his father, growing up, he chose to write this book for him to read to his mother who was diagnosed with cognitive dementia. Lewis' knowledge of what his mother had was misconstrued, however, and having read that reading to Alzheimer's patents helped them, he wrote this book to be read to his mother by his father. It is a loving and whimsical narrative of his personal experiences meant to make his mother smile but unfortunately, she passed away on April 6th, 2019 before she could hear more than a couple sentences. This book is for her and for anyone who needs 'escape', a smile and a keen window to the past of Silicon Valley. (Suitable for reading or wrapping fish, your choice) .
