God the Father, the big bad mystery in the sky. Is thee force of nature. Sitting up High and being Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. So much of him is taught and told by fear of not knowing who he is. Poems that bring up questions, acceptance, meaning, and reformations to this writer's relationship with God. Born to a single Puertorican mother and growing up with no father. While being taught that God could be that father was not the easiest thing to grasp or accept. Doubts, questions, unworthiness, self-harm, self-doubt and quite a few tug of wars. In 'Praises to the Father' we take a deep dive into one woman's fifteen year old relationship with the Father. While many do not know him, although they have walked with him for quite some time while others have just never been given the chance. Being chosen is terrifying but in the best way possible. This book is for the ones still walking with him, the ones that don't understand him but refuse to leave him. For the ones that crave his voice and are not complete without his grace. For the ones who are trying and never stay down when they mess up. For the ones who wish to know him, For the ones confused and the ones who were taught lies. To the ones who have never heard of him before. For the ones that believed in him but decided you could do it all alone. For the ones that chose to listen. Everyone's journey is different but we are linked together by God himself. So let us indulge in these poems together.
