Practices of the Heart: Ten Actions for Moving Closer to God

Over the years, I've had the privilege to learn from many of my mentors, fellow travelers, and elders practices that have led me closer to God. As I've put into practice these practices, I've seen them change me and many others in very positive ways. So, I've put together this project as a way to share the benefits of these heart practices and to share with younger followers of Jesus some actions you can take to move closer to the God that loves you and wants you to be a part of his larger story. God has a purpose for you and a role for you to play in his story and kingdom. Hopefully, these resources and practices will free you to love God and to love your neighbors in very practical ways. I'm only sharing with you the actions that I've taken. None of this is theoretical. So, these are tried and tested practices that I've used for a few years or many years. I'll do my best to point you in the right direction and make a new practice as simple as possible to get started.
