Simple and effective karate self-defense techniques.

The late Master Nakayama and Draeger worked together on six "Practical Karate" books. This is the second in the series. In my opinion, it is very important to read and study the first volume in this series in order to grasp the basic techniques used in this self-defense series. This manual (No.2) covers various responses against an unarmed attacker. Basic defenses against wrist grabs, clothing grabs, body grabs, choke attacks, and punching attacks are demonstrated in this text. Though the techniques are not difficult to learn, one must work with a partner practicing numerous times to actually make the techniques work in reality. In conclusion, if you desire to become proficient at using karate in self-defense situations, this book can serve as an excellent guide, when used in combination with actual training under a competent karate instructor. An excellent source for people studying karate

If you've ever wondered how you might use a karate technique in real life, this is a great resource. These are interpretations from Master Nakayama himself! You'd be crazy not to buy this one.
