Power & Authority: Matter to God

Does power and authority really matter to God? The answer is yes! It matters because it belongs to Him and no one else. The Bible makes something perfectly clear at the start...all power and authority belong to God. There is no question about that. Job tells us that God's power caused the earth to hang in the void of space. He didn't even know what was in the heavens! Isaiah saw God's power sitting high above the earth which makes humankind appear to be a speck (grasshopper) in the vastness of creation.The disciple John puts an exclamation point on the idea of God's power and authority by stating that, "All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made." God stated it very clearly, "I AM the Lord, and there is no other!"
