Full of energy and excitement and "different" characters to keep you interested to the end. Ernest Haycox wrote everyday in a downtown office in Portland, Oregon believing writing was like any other occupation; you got up, went to your work place, labored eight hours at your job before returning home in the evening. It was because of this he wrote more than 300 stories. These are some of his best.
