In the second book of the Porugl Trilogy, Porugl has returned to Gandia from the Underworld. This is unheard of and his return sparks joy amongst the people. He learns his father has been murdered in his absence.

However, he wishes to start a normal life in Gandia with Maie, a beautiful young woman. He assimilates back into village life, passes his initiation and along the way meets Waine, who crafts an everlasting bow for him. But the Underworld is not done with him yet. Kerwanba's pride has been shattered. She will do anything to end Porugl's life. She sends her minions out to see if there is any man in Kondaland brave enough to carry out her wishes.
