Time-tested traditional approach

This book is an extremely useful textbook for classroom study of European Portuguese. Colleges and univesities have been using this book (or previous editions) for 30 years. The publisher is currently working on a new, full color, hardbound edition which will be available soon. Currently, this b & w softbound text is the only available version of this popular text, but is still the best introductory Portuguese text around.
