I'm not familiar with Roccosalvo as an author but this book was a tremendous delight for me to find. I found the characters to be strong and interesting and the writing brisk, clear and delightful. The developement of the relationship between the protagonist, writer Phillip Stratton and his "muse", Mother Ambrose with the "story within a story" elements used to display the interplay of relationships was natural and very well executed and Phillip's dilemma and his struggles were compelling for me.
