The tree is one of a series of nine that I painted during my stay in Portugal in 2022, when the gates of creation opened to me and when I first set out on a way into the nooks of my body, mind and soul. When I learned the bitter-sweet taste of creation and destruction, joy and sadness, courage and fear, beauty and ugliness. When I had connected, I had influenced and I had integrated with myself and the reality I had created.
