In the far east, an island untouched by American authorities provides safe haven for thieves, fugitives and self-made widows. Della Mason, a beautiful showgirl, is framed for murder and stows away on a freighter destined for the south seas. The ship's captain is renowned for his hatred of women, but the radio operator, Jim, falls for Della and swears to help her escape to the port of missing girls. They find the lawless isle, but a honeymooning couple recognizes Della and threatens to expose her. When she stumbles onto a plan to rob the freight liner and kill the crew, Della must choose between her own freedom and the lives of the men who saved her.
