This beautiful, oversize book is chock-full of photos of Pope John Paul II. It includes photos of his childhood and early adult life that I have not seen in other books on this Pontiff. Overall, the photos dominate the book and the captions of each photo are decidedly subordinate. The book is divided into broad chapters: For instance, the 1990's, the New Millennium, etc. If you like photos with few words accompanying them, this potentially-heirloom book is for you.
