When my dad and his cousin gathered up to create this cookbook in the early 80s, (my mom did her share of the work) my dad applied his whimsical writing skills and his cousin applied his artistic gifts the outcome is incredible, a cookbook-designed from recipes from long ago and recipes the boys grew up with, the fruits of their labor produce a way of feed a family with nourishing practical meals. the artwork flowing from the pages of this book is astounding on its own. The stories and pictures display a family who worked hard and ate well, and a couple of poor folks with a yearning to bring a simple life well lived to share with people from all walks of life.
