Effective Way of teaching an infant the basic shapes
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 18 years ago
The book has three plastic shapes (a red square, a blue triangle, and a yellow circle) on a plastic rod. There is one page dedicated to the introduction of each shape. It shows a picture of the shape, with one of Pooh's friend's interacting with the shape, and then asks the child to spin the shape. This hands-on approach to learning shapes is more effective than expecting your child to learn shapes solely from looking at drawings of shapes in other children's books. The words of the book are written in a nice rythm and there are relatively few words on each page. This book will likely be one of your child's favorites, with colorful pictures of Pooh and his friends, and the fun activity of spinning real shapes at the topic of the book. The book is a sturdy board book that will survive a lot of use.
