It revolves around the ambitions of leaders from different Lakota bands, to replace the deceased chief of the whole tribe, but is centered on the family of a young warrior who leads one of those bands.Though this story is fiction, the author has made an attempt to match it to the time, place, and conditions where there is little recorded history.
