Nothing like giving older films the Blu-ray treatment and allowing a second or third life. I now see a 4K version. Can not wait for 3D. Oops, TV manufacturers stopped making 3D TVs around 2016–2017.
The Freeling family lives in a cozy suburb. They are not alone. They live with an old tree that loves tasty children and an assortment of TV people. Their young daughter, Carol Anne Freeling (Heather O'Rourke (1975-1988)), goes for a visit beyond the pale. This is just the beginning.
The movie is a classic; many of the things we know about Poltergeist came from this movie.
My favorite scene is when they move into a motel and jettison “The Twonky” (1953).
The mother, Diane Freeling, played by Jobeth Williams, can be seen again in “American Dreamer” (1984).
