Wonderfully uplifting!

This is a lovely work. It is the story of a real life, lived by a very honest and interesting lady. She has been married for a long time, and has 14 children; and there's much, much more. This book is full of loving, gentle wisdom, and her sincerity shines on every page. Even though she is quite Christian in her perview, even non-Christions will enjoy this not-at-all "preachy" book. It is a book full of love and practical advise from someone who has lived a not-so-easy life. If you liked Leo Buscaglia, you will absolutely LOVE this book!!!!!

This is fantastic!!!

This is a marvelous book! This is a wonderful re-introduction to the gentle, loving God of the New Testament, and, guess what? He wants us to be happy! Yes, it's true. This author proves this abundantly by her understanding of scripture--and this is nothing less than a life story of how she has lived this loving walk with Him. I am truly awed by the honesty and inspiration contained in this book. This book is interesting in that it isn't full of syrupy emptiness, rather, it is full of real, personal struggles and how the real God can help us with all we face in life. Her wisdom and honesty are wonderfully refreshing in this cynical world.

Barbara takes us on a journey of scriptures and personal accounts of how we can live with the gift of joy God has given us!!

I loved this book!

This book needs to be read with tissues because you will be laughing and crying all the way through it. This book tells how to live joyfully no matter what comes your way. It is full of Scripture and personal stories that show how God's love and joy are meant to be lived every day of our life. This is a great book to give as a gift to everyone you know.

It really will help!

Be prepared to find the path to joy when you open this book! The Author has taken time to include scripture after scripture, from the Bible, with commentary and examples that will soothe your wounded places. With continued study, I believe it could change the way many see their lives and infect them with "long-term" joy! If you or anyone you know could benefit from more joy in their lives, this would be a great choice!
