The aim of this paper is to explain the concept of education in Nicolaus Machiavelli's political theory. To this end, we seek to elucidate the influences and purposes of this conception and thus point out the importance of the term education for this author's political theory. It goes through his humanist influences and political experiences in order to understand education in the sense of a political education, of active action.
