This short book is my best attempt so far to connect modern science with the old traditional knowledge. So it tries to create a bridge between descriptive and predictive sciences, hence between the past and the future, as people all over the world are increasingly ignorant of their traditions. I have been particularly focused in the Chinese tradition just by sheer coincidence, but all the ancient traditions share much in common. However, apparently this is a work aimed at people with a strong scientific background, as it portrays a kind of broad research program with many different fronts in mathematics, physics, biomechanics and medicine, control theory and so on. Of course I can only deal with these issues in the most generalist way and relying heavily on the bibliography, but there are surprising connections and it is my wish that those with knowledge will appreciate it.
