Welcome to '?Poker Unchecked'?, the first book written by Russ Georgiev, a World Class Professional poker player who has spent 40+ years in the poker trenches. This book is for all players who want to... This description may be from another edition of this product.
One day after buying this book, I took 8th place in a No Limit event at the "2008 2nd Annual Binion's Poker Classic" in Las Vegas. This was going on at the same time as the World Series, so there were tough players from all over the world playing. Buy it. It's great.
Almost too good to be true...

This book offers some amazing information that I've not found in any other poker book. The theory sections really challenged me to think about my game, something other books failed to do. The cheating sections are amazing. These chapters deal with types of cheating in poker that I didn't realize existed. Oh, about the strategy discussed ... I've all ready won more than 100 times what the book cost. Great investment.
The best poker book you're likely to read...

This book was eye-opening to say the least. To begin with, it's unconventional and deals with many aspects of poker (online and B & M), with several chapters devoted solely to cheating. The book offers many different approaches and theories that are very easy to understand and implement. I learned quite a lot about the things that were missing from my game, mainly, betting properly. And there's quite a lot of information about the best opening hands. The biggest change I've made is that I no longer play no limit holdem. Several well-detailed, easy to comprehend chapters deal with split games. The 'lessons' were easy to apply and (though it may seem crazy), I now play split games using the information presented in this book. It's like a different world opened up when I switched games and followed the advice. My edges were far larger, and I now understand that certain games can be played so much worse than no limit holdem where so many situations are coin flips. The tournament information and instruction is very solid and opened my eyes to (many) mistakes I've been making. This may be the best poker book you've ever read. It's certainly the best I've ever read.

I read the book Poker Unchecked the first time and won 2 sit and go online in a row. I lost the 3rd game and finished in the money the rest of the day. I was losing every week and could not figure out why. I read the book a 2nd time and have had a winning week which made up for 2 months of losing. I will send an another review in a month and let you know how I am doing. Everyone should read the book 2 times or more to understand it correctly. Russ Georgiev has changed my game and made it 100% stronger. I want to read more from him. It was in my opinion one of the best poker books I have ever read. My new style works well at my live poker games also. Pete P .
A very pleasant surprise

I have read about Russ Georgiev in the poker rooms for years and probably like a lot of people started out thinking, who is this guy and can everything that he has said possibly be true? But he is like a machine gun being operated by someone who doesn't care if he lives or dies-the bullets keep on coming. You can argue about whether you love or hate Russ after the shooting stops. Until then though, whether you are sitting across the table from him in heads up poker or one of the many people that he has the dirt on, you had better duck. I am not sure what I expected when I bought this book, but what I received is an easy to read guide that contains complex theory, common sense and enough in-the-trenches stories to make you feel like you are getting an in-depth, one-on-one poker course from one of the most knowledgeable players in the world. I'll see you guys at the table, but don't be surprised if my hole card is Russ's book.
