It is a historic affair when NASA sends an all female crew into space with the goal of breaking the record for distance traveled. However, behind the objective and onboard the spaceship is a secret mission far more sinister and desperate. The crew of the Cleopatra is comprised of six women. Deidra is the hard-nosed commander, Mae is the friendly second in command pilot, and Bella is an elite marine. Also, three civilian women have been specially chosen and trained for the mission including Judy a wise-ass former drug addict, Chiaki a bubbly girl with a troubled past, and Kate who went from homeless to astronaut almost overnight. Once the two groups are in the close quarters of the ship they begin to notice that not only their differences, but their similarities add to their building suspicion over the mission objective. And, once they break the space travel record, once they fly beyond Point X, the truth comes to them as a monster of an alien ready for some outer space delight.
