Book Overview

FBI agents Lacey Sherlock and Dillon Savich face the most dangerous case of their careers in Catherine Coulter's explosive new thriller. Point Blank's propulsive story takes off when FBI agents Dillon Savich and Dane Carver are nearly killed while trying to rescue popular entertainer Pinky Womack from kidnappers. Lured to a motel in Pumis City, Virginia, by a known snitch, the only thing the agents discover is a glowing red timer. The place is demolished in a catastrophic explosion, but everyone survives. The same snitch leads them to Arlington National Cemetery, promising the agents Pinky's safe return. The search is interrupted when Savich takes a fateful call on his cell. The mysterious caller taunts Savich with other threats-against him, and against his wife, fellow agent Lacey Sherlock. Up against an untraceable foe-not even MAX can locate him-Savich and Sherlock find themselves fighting an unstable villain with a very long memory. At the same time, Agent Ruth Warnecki's passion for treasure hunting leads her to Winkel's Cave and a cave chamber that really shouldn't exist-as well as a dead student from Stanislaus Music School, left there for eternity. Some students have wandered quite far from the beaten path, with terrible consequences. An edge-of-your-seat thriller as exhilarating and frightening as anything she's ever written, Point Blankis Catherine Coulter's finest achievement.

Point Blank

I have read all of the FBI series through this book "Point Blank". They are all very good, move along quickly, and make you not want to put the book down.

Point Blank review

This product is another enjoyable FBI story from Catherine Coulter. This story is enjoyable adult entertainment.

Can't wait for the next one

Don't have much more to add about her FBI series except I find them fun, exciting, hard to put down and very very entertaining. I hope the newest one comes out in paperback soon. Her books are one of my "author keepers" and I only lend them out to special people who know how to take care of books. I anticipate reading them over and over again.

Typical Catherine Coulter Action Stuffed into a Terrific Story

Married FBI agents Lacey Sherlock and Dillon Savich are back in this typical Catherine Coulter thriller that you won't be able to put down. Agent Ruth Warnecki is back too and in this terrific book they work both alone and with each other in parallel stories that have Runt hunting for Confederate gold in a Virginain cave and Dillon and Lacey trying to rescue a kidnap victim, only to have themselves almost killed in an explosion. Ruth is discovered by Sheriff Dix Noble injured and disoriented in the snow after someone tries to kill her and when they go to the cave to look for evidence the attempted killer may have left behind, they find a young woman's partially embalmed body, not exactly something one would expect to find in your average cave. Meanwhile Dillon and Lacey have a revenge seeking madman after them. Our erstwhile agents may put past cases behind them, but this criminal definitely has it on his front burner and he's picked up a nutty (as in insane) girl who also would like nothing better to see our happily wed FBI agents planted in the ground, deader than a doornail. And in usual Catherine Coulter fashion the action is non-stop. This book picks you up and races along, picking up speed an unbelievable clip, dropping you first in one story and then the next and then doing it all over again.

Great book, but what happened to Christie??

For those of you who read this book, you'll be happy to know that we'll find out what happened to Christie in the next book in the FBI series. I was so desperate to know that I emailed Ms. Coulter and she was gracious enough to answer! :-)
