A collection of short stories by the award-winning American science fiction writer, Frederik Pohl. They range from the lighthearted "The High Test" to the longest of the collection, "The Sweet, Sad... This description may be from another edition of this product.
A pretty standard sort of quality collection at 3.41. Pohl says it might be influenced a little by some time in China, with Chinese SF writers, and a lot of the stories were written while travelling. One of them even with Doc Smith's typewriter! So, not too bad, and some variety, although some similar like the Lottery Fair and The Way It Was, as far as results go. Great short story Science Fiction, especially the 75 page "Sweet, Sad Queen of the Grazing Isles." The "Forward" of the novel is interesting as well, detailing a trip to China a year earlier (1983?) where he was able to meet with Chinese Science Fiction authors.
