PoextS Year Two

I have been writing poetry for many years. In August of 2011, I had a life changing event happen and consequently spent two weeks in the hospital under lockdown and supervision for suicidal tendencies. Upon release, I moved in with friends and started a new life. On November 11, I was at work and had a first line for a poem and could not find anything on which to write it down. I decided to make a note to myself on my cell phone. When I came home, I was taking the line off my phone to continue writing and had the idea for PoextS. I would write short poems as somewhat therapy and send them via text to friends and family. I sent my first one on November 12 of 2011. One year later to the date, I had written 1,000 PoextS, and published PoextS Year One.In PoextS Year Two, I have continued writing, expressing my emotions of the moment, as I flow into my next phase of the journey I now embrace. This year has seen a trip into the dark of darkness, while heavily medicated, and then to an awakening...eventually being free of all medications, and moving into my own house. I hope you may enjoy and be enlightened by them.
