Poetry Reflections: Celebrating 80 wonderful years

Poetry has always been a big part of my life but never as much as it is at present. I try to write a poem each day and to relate the images that are in my mind at that moment. The images can be about anything. I am often awakened with two random lines in my head that I must write down or I will forget them when I wake in the morn. This has been an occurrence for the past ten years or so.
My latest influences have been about love, friendship, compassion, caring and forgiveness. One of my friends described me as a walking piece of performing art. I like it. I am going to continue to write poetry with a wanton wave of passion.
