I Am stronger than anyone's opinion of me could ever be. Depression feels like that demon you see during sleep paralysis. The whole time you're wide awake, fighting to get up, your body is paralyzed in position. Screaming at the top of your lungs for someone to help you, to even just hear you, nothing comes out. In your mind you're fighting with all of your might, in reality you're simply stuck in the nightmares of your life experiences. That demon called depression taunts you because it knows the temporary power it holds over you in the moment. Through the Poetry Pieces of my Peace, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the fact that you are not alone. You are a human being experiencing a phase of human life, of which you can and will overcome. Being that poetry is a form of therapy for cheap, I offer zero judgement, only compassion, empathy and a way to wake up. I am you. I can relate to you. I am a survivor of a severe childhood depression that seeped into my adulthood like gray hairs on a young head. I wrote poetry throughout the entire experience. Some are so potent, you'll cry. Some are so uplifting, you'll share it. Some are so spiritual, you'll feel it.
