I bought this book at a coffee house after hearing the author read from it. I really liked what I heard, and like the rest of the poems even better. They're a good mix. This book contains a wonderful mix of poetry to suit every mood. Some poems made me laugh, some made me feel warm and romantic, and some actually made me want to get out and run a marathon! Each and every poem is delightful, written in a way that begs to be read aloud. But the highlight of the book is undoubtedly the last section, containing several epic poems that pull you right in, and leave you hanging on to every word. I'm definitely looking forward to a second volume of poems from the featherbed.
