'Sixty-two Not Out: A Poetry Booklet, 'Tranquil Poetry', 'Surreal Sonnets and Sea Fever Poems', were the first three poetry books that I have written, thus making this book my fourth. Writing poetry is a passion of mine, as it gives me an opportunity to express myself in a creative, quirky and unique way, revealing my eccentric self. The first section is a collection of poems about celebrities and friends and family I admire. Rhyme and iambic pentameter have been used to make the poems more entertaining for the reader. Some poems are witty, some humourous, and some have serious tone. I have tried to develop a writer's voice, and hopefully you as the reader can identify with the meaning and style of these poems. The second section of this book is a collection of poems of what I like to call 'Designer Haikus'. These consist of three lines, where the first and third lines have five syllables, and the second line has seven syllables. Apart from that, these break the rules of a traditional Haiku, because some rhyme, none of these pertain to a season, hence the reason why I have entitled these as 'Designer Haikus'. The third section contains a few fun, cheerful acrostic poems about my friends and a couple of other topics. I hope you enjoy reading this poetry book.
