Born July 4, 1979 in Montgomery, Alabama, Daryl Easterling uses his gift of poetry and powerful words of truth, to inspire, edify and encourage all readers and listeners. He states that he gives all the credit and glory to God. Daryl discovered his ability to write after a tragic incident in which he was robbed and shot four times. Being bed ridden for months, he sat in hospital and wrote about the obstacles and storms that transpired in his life. He learned that his testimony could be shared in the form of words creatively written on paper. He says that it is a ministry through poetry. He states, the best sermon preached is one that is preached in the mirror and the best poem ever written is one that has been lived. Since 1998, he has been faithfully writing poetry and public speaking around the southeast. He is a Police Officer, Gang Investigator and Gang Instructor at the Montgomery Police Department but most importantly he is a Christian on the battlefield for the Lord and a prolific writer and poet. Daryl states that Poetry Adultery is given its title because he commits infidelity by being emotionally and intimately involved with his pen. He states that poetry is an obsession, commitment and addiction that he has outside of his marriage.
