Poetics & Progym II is a composition, grammar, and rhetoric course structured around Virgil's Aeneid , Shakespeare's Macbeth , Plutarch's Lives , and the confirmation, refutation, common-place, encomium, invective, and comparison exercises of the progymnasmata. Composition lessons focus on advancing expository and persuasive writing. Grammar lessons are applied using selections from classic literature and poems, including challenging sentence diagramming lessons.
