"Poetic Thoughts of a Young Lion in the Asphalt Jungle" is a body of poetry that was written by a so-called Black man in America in the early 90s. That man was me. During this time, I was dealing with divorce after graduating college, a desire to find love, social injustices affecting the so-called Black and Brown men and women, and a strong belief in God. It is strange to see what I was writing about in 1993 and 1994 are still relevant today.. I am sharing my thoughts, my desires, my frustrations, and hopefully the so-called young Black and Brown men of this generation can see the similarities and adjust their actions to make the necessary change.
