As Danny Holliday was completing his book Rottweiler he desired to assist a friend Joanne McMurray in getting poetry published. Later talking with David G. Hamilton the two worked together to publish David's 1st book "The Pen". David meet Marie Chewe-Elliott who had published her book "Psalms of a Woman." Holliday had the idea to get people together for a book. It happened in the Alton Area located on the Mississippi River where it bends before continuing it's journey South to the Gulf.
