Though I ecstatically read poems my whole life, I never tried to write any until I began meditating. Then it seemed my soul emptied its impressions of beauty on paper. I began to see who I was: not the small woman in a social role, but a giant in a larger invisible body. This larger invisible self was writing love letters to me. The poems were a mirror in which I could see many things. Life became a meaningful journey to divine life. Poems can also function as prayers. They were a gift to me, and I offer them back to the source.
