Where do poems come from? When a writer puts pen to paper, I believe poems are the feelings in the writers' heart and soul. These are formed by experiences, imagination, love, heartaches, happiness, sadness and many other forms that life and nature present writers with as they walk and journey along life's path.

For me, well, it's mostly wanting to give readers joy, pleasure, peace, love and understanding about life in general. But, also, from my own experiences in life that have had many ups and downs. Some are mixed feelings, some good, some unpleasant but mostly understanding of what life is all about and knowing myself with great truth.

Now, knowing yourself in truth is NOT what we are prepared for or accept at times, for we have the habit of deceiving ourselves, but if we learn to trust ourselves in truth, then the enjoyment of life becomes tremendous. Also, folk around you can see there is something special about you.

So, with this brief summary, perhaps one can understand how writing, either poems or book form, can assist folk, for one writes to enjoy, but also to give pleasure, comfort, and much, much more. So please accept and understand that writing is more than an outlet for the writer, but a gift to all who find time to read, especially poems, for they are the day-to-day life and happenings.
