My name is Carolyn Jones-Mitchell. I am passionate about my husband, family and friends. As child I was raised in the church and as an adult I find my faith and spirituality to be a guiding force in my life's journey. I enjoy writing, traveling, movies, music and cars. I have enjoyed writing from a young age. Writing is an excellent vehicle that allows me to express myself by putting my thoughts and feelings down, pen to paper. My poems come from the heart and are born of current events and or inspired by things around me. I am happily married and consider my husband my life's partner, whom I can always count on and help keep me balanced. My mother has always been and will always be the wind beneath my wings. My dad has always been a guide and teacher for me. As I am the youngest in a family of five, my older siblings have always been excellent role models for me and probably the real reason, I chose writing to express myself, just so I could be heard. As this is my first venture into publishing, I am proud and blessed to have followed my passion and dream toward accomplishing this goal. I feel motivated to continue to grow and do more. Please be patient with me, God is not through with me yet.
